Vintage Shopping in Bergen County N.J.

I have always had a love for vintage items and furniture with a history. That forgotten piece that someone may have cast off but another person could still see the beauty within is a treasure. My husband and I used to frequent tag and estate sales in Westchester and loved finding forgotten items. He found an old chess set and I found mirrors, Singer sewing machine legs and vintage chairs.

After moving to NJ and buying our first home, we found our dining room at an estate sale and kept looking for some unique finds in NJ.

The first spot we found was in Closter called Vintage Goods & Antiques Consignment Shop, open on Saturday & Sunday.

They have furniture, housewares, books, vintage toys, paintings and hardware. This is a hidden gem in Bergen County- I almost hesitate to write about it for want of keeping it to myself!

I researched where to buy Fusion Mineral paint and was delighted to find a WHOLE vintage district in Waldwick NJ with antique shops, paint and supply shops and just so much vintage goodness.

I took my daughters to Vintage Fusion Restorations in Midland Park and we saw beautiful refurbished dressers, chairs and so much more. They have paint supplies, brushes, stencils and so much inspiration.

We also stopped by Junk Chick Designs in Wyckoff. They were painting tables when we walked in and had a beautiful selection of farmhouse inspired decor, dining tables, dressers and more. We wished we could buy everything.

I still have a few on my list in New Jersey to visit but I would love to find more. Stay tuned for more of our explorations!
